Three main streets of Insadong 3-gil alley

Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea

Is it a maze of wandering or a maze of happiness between the alleys and the alleys of the city? Even though I have been to many times, it is nice to meet a new road, and the time to visit my alley is fascinating because it is more sensitive than the destination or direction.
The short cut from Jongno to Insadong is fair to Gilchi. You can walk along someone's footsteps or walk around alone. It is a good place to have memories of an empty alley without a purpose.
Sweet soup tteokbokki of `` Tteoksarong ''
In the alley on the right side of the Jonggak YMCA building, you will see a narrow, rugged alley on your right after passing the `` country house '' famous for marketplace soup. There was a long and old alley in the middle of a complex and insane bell. As you walk along the tabac, the alley is narrow enough to bump into your shoulders.
An alleyway leading to Insadong 3-gil
After passing through the old hanok and shabby walls, you will see a red tteok-shara sign. On the right is a synagogue with a 120-year history. It is a ruins of the 3.1 Movement and a historic building designated as Seoul Tangible Cultural Property No. 130. You can see the way down to Insadong from the alley that continues as gracefully as the years passed by the faded red brick wall. In the secluded alley, Tteokbokki, rice, draft beer, cafe and tavern are gathered together. This is a restaurant alley in Insadong 3-gil, where only people you know come.
Red Brick Walls
Walnut pie meets drip coffee, Walnut tree cafe
From the end of the alley leading to Insadong, you can see the Hanok Gate, which is arranged to the right. It is a door to walnut tree cafe. Although it was neatly remodeled, the walnut cafe was named after making an old table made of 300 year old walnut trees in the courtyard and the interior of Hanok.
Walnut café terrace
Of course, as the name suggests, it is also famous for homemade walnut pies and walnuts. Every time you order three or four times a day, bake the walnut pie. The fresh, savory taste is so special that more people order to take out.
Hand drip coffee with roasted beans every day
The hand drip coffee, which roasts beans from day to day to enhance the aroma and taste, is a rich body. The strong coffee aroma and the dense sense of exquisiteness make the coffee shop famous. Above all, the harmony of sweet and savory walnut pie in a cup of hot coffee is impressive. Based on six years of know-how accumulated at the Hanam store, it has been a year since it was located in the Insa-dong alley. Due to the nature of the alley, it still feels like a well-groomed but well suited to the calm atmosphere of the hanok. You can enjoy the rustic atmosphere while looking at the sky of the city from the terrace which has been transformed into an atmosphere by placing tables and chairs in the hanok yard. The summer night terrace is also a good place to drink cold beer, which has been on sale since July.

In Insa-dong 3-gil Alley, there is a Tteokbokki restaurant that boasts history and taste. One of the oldest shops in the alley, 'Tasteborae Instant Tteokbokki' is always crowded with customers. There is another tteokbokki restaurant. The name is also unique.
Tteok sarong on the way from Jongno to Insadong
Loved by workers in their 20s and 30s, Tteoksarong has a warm atmosphere with the friendly service of Hunnam employees. Draft beer and various alcoholic beverages are prepared in Tteok sarong, just as more restaurants and pubs are served in every street of youth. The menu is good for snacks and beer snacks.
Office workers who work in Jongno frequently visit
Tteokbokki made with broth cooked for more than 4 hours with anchovies, kelp, defolie, emperor, onion, radish, garlic, and green onions in a cauldron is cool and crispy. The homemade tempura that comes with the set menu is fried and plain without any additives other than pure fried flour. Deep-fried foods such as laver, squid, red pepper, sweet potato, sesame leaf and shrimp are evenly crispy. Soup Tteokbokki is not spicy and not overly sweet, so it can be boring to anyone who wants a stimulating taste. So you have to eat it with broth. After eating Tteokbokki, the remaining soup turns delicious. The bibimbap in the set menu neatly removes the remaining broth. If you pour a ladle and rub it, the tuna, salted pickles, and laver powder go together exquisitely. Most of all, the bowls are empty, so it's a pleasant meal.

In front of the walnut café, there is Bukchon hand dumplings boasting dumplings all day long with white steamed rice between bamboo steamers. Steamed dumplings with only child's fist are rich in tofu, mung bean sprouts, leek, and pork. Deep-fried brown dumplings are popular because they are solid enough to eat just one. There are only six types of dumplings. Also, because it is made all day, you can eat fresh and delicious dumplings anytime. Bukchon Son dumplings that are made that day and consumed all that day start cleaning up the shop at 8 o'clock in the evening.

Another popular menu is Bukchon Phi Cold Noodles. It's blood-red noodle because it's red like blood. It's a name, anyway. The broth that becomes sour and spicy as the seasonings on the cold noodles are reddish red is redder thanks to the good red pepper powder. Bukchon Phi Cold Noodles can be selected from three flavors: mild, spicy, and humanly too spicy. Besides the dumplings, the menu is varied. Kalguksu, cold man 식사 soup, dumpling king casserole, Bukchon guksi, bibimbuksi, etc. is a restaurant where people try to eat with dumplings.
