Dip your clams and make ecchi chocolate! 'Sea Village Diary' used at Seosan Village Village Village

Seosan, Chungnam, South Korea

Fresh spring has settled down at the Jung-ri Village Village, which is located along the wide tidal flats of Garorim Bay, Seosan-si, Chungnam. When the tidal-flats in front of Jungripo-gu reveal the locals, there are crowds of residents who came out of the clams and experienced visitors who held hands with their children.
From treasure hunts in a golden fishery to making crafts, strolling through the villages with springtime plains, and exploring Seosan Creative Art Village. Let's leave the family outing to the all-round beauty village.

Find it! Treasure hidden in the mud flats
Garorim Bay, surrounded by Seosan-si and Taean-gun, Chungnam, is one of the five largest tidal flats in the world. It is so clean that the sea is added to the forest with dew. Fresh seafood springs up like pollination in all seasons. Jungali Village Experience Village in Jigok-myeon, Seosan-si is famous for the Oeok-nakji Festival in Gaet Village in autumn. In March-May, the clam that has been plump for the season waits for Gilson. Thanks to the abundance of fishery resources, experiences, and unspoiled natural environment, we won the Grand Prize at the 2014 Fishing Village Advancement Competition.
Experiencers gathering for three or five
The experience time changes daily depending on the time of the day, so you should inquire in advance. If you look for a good day before and after the full moon, it can make the tidal flat experience easier.
Seasoned clams
At the Jungali Village Experience Village ticket office, which arrived on time, the booths were crowded with experienced visitors who changed their boots from early morning. As soon as the kids with the net and hoe got on the electric cart, they were excited. Jungripo-gu is an endless stretch of tidal flats. The children, who traveled around the tidal-flat of their feet, fall into a clam samgye with a hoe in their fern hands.
A scallop shell with a wish is hanging at the entrance of the village.
Pick a floor with a hole and scrape it with a hoe and the clams will come out as a bunch. Every time a clam comes out of the mud, the children who run into the river are ecstatic.

The small shellfish is saved and the thick one is picked up in the net. However, the shellfish at this time is full of flavor even though it looks small. The clam filled with one net is about 2-3 kg. The time required for the experience is not set separately, but after a couple of hours, the tidal flats are filled with water. The experience fee is 10,000 won per person, including tools.

If you look for the time when the water comes in, you can try fishing on board. They are mainly caught, songme and flatfish. It is possible to get into the shallow water, catching ponies, mullets, crabs, shrimps, and other side nets in June when the water temperature starts to rise. After mid-May, octopus catching experiences await families. The bamboo primrose, a traditional primitive fishing method, is installed 20m long so that you can catch octopus by tumbling across the tidal flats.

After the can, you can stop by the Fishermen's House in the village. The first floor food experience center is equipped with cooking utensils and tableware. You can wash freshly picked fresh clams clean and boil clam kalguksu or clam ramen. If you prepare vegetables and noodles in advance, you can enjoy simple meals with your children and enjoy more time.

Fishermen's Happiness Center also runs an experience program such as making taetae chocolate. Ecklonia is a rare seaweed that blooms only from December to April in a limited area of Seosan Garorim Bay. Picking is difficult, and the process of washing and drying by hand is also very expensive. It looks similar to Mae-sae-gi, but it is called 'sea vegetables of the sea' because of its stronger fragrance and excellent efficacy.

Walk through Sinmong Judo, Seosan Creative Art Village and Jungwang-ri Village
Pass the entrance to the experience village and follow the left hill to reach Seosan Creative Art Village. The unspoiled landscape of the village of Jungali Village leads to Jungwang-ri through the art village. Behind the vast landscape of Garorim Bay, the cozy village road is hidden. It's closer to a mountain village than a typical fishing village, so it's good to stroll around talking with your child.
Seosan Creative Art Village Exterior
The starting point of the walk is Seosan Creative Art Village. In 2009, it remodeled the Jungwang branch school of Buseong Elementary School, which was closed. Although it is named 'Simon Hwang Sukbong Modern Calligraphy Center', various art exhibitions are held every month in addition to calligraphy.
Hallway showroom
On the second and fourth Saturday of every month, paintings are held on plates and mugs. Paintings made with pottery pens can be grilled and taken directly to the kiln. The entrance fee to the museum and the experience fee are both free and the experience must be booked in advance.

Also worth seeing is the front yard of the museum, where soot and sailboats are located. Standing on the front yard observatory, the Everspring Plain and Jungwang-ri Village look like picturesque. The spring plain, which is also a migratory habitat, means 'to see all the time'. The scenery is varied throughout the four seasons.
Cutely decorated front yard
Follow the steps of the observatory to take a stroll in Jungwang-ri Village. Jungwang-ri is a small village where 140 households live in tight densities. Wall paintings and installations follow the concept of 'Walking through the Shinmong Judo Garden'. Seosan Jigok-myeon, where Jungwang-ri is located, is known as the hometown of the Korean electric painter, who drew the Mont Yudo Island. If <Mondedo Island> was the dream of Anpyeongdae, the landscapes of Jigok-myeon with only the landscape would not affect the style of the dog.
Jungang-ri Village Landscape
Walking from Seosan Creative Art Village to Jungang 1-ri Village Hall, you will find witty genre paintings, cute murals, old mills still in operation, and farm equipment warehouses. Roads embroidered with pale pink flowers and small landscapes caught in the square frame of the village signage add to the taste of walking.
Information signs that go well with the town
After the road maintenance is completed, a program will be conducted in June to explore the village by electric carts at the Village Village Village.
The murals painted everywhere are humorous.
