Is there another place where traditional and exotic moods blend so exquisitely! Pyeongchang and Gangneung are romantic cities where the temples, forests, and old buildings that have been passed for a long time talk to each other over a thousand years. As the city of <Winter Sonata>, Pyeongchang and Gangneung, which attracted many tourists from Japan and Southeast Asia, are now aiming for the '2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games'. By using the high-speed train between Seoul and Gangneung, which is scheduled to open in December, you can reach Pyeongchang and Gangneung, charming cities in less than 1 hour and 10 minutes, and you will be close to Daegwallyeong and coffee-scented winter sea full of white snow.
The road that does not get far, barrier-free trail of Woljeongsa Fir Forest
In addition to the three mountains of Mt. Geumgang, Jirisan, and Halla, Odaesan, one of the most famous mountains in Korea, is famous for its beautiful autumn leaves in mid-October. It is located in the arms of the Sangwonsa Temple, one of the top five extinction palaces, the 'Odaesan Accident', which houses the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, and over 60 horses in Gangwon.
Obstacle Trail
Woljeongsa Fir Forest Road is one of the most important things to keep in mind when talking about Odaesan.
Multi-purpose guide signs for barrier-free trails
The fir forest path that extends about 1km from the one-week gate to the Geumgang Bridge is a spectacular view with hundreds of years of fir trees soaring to the side of the road.
Families who found the path of Woljeongsa Fir Forest
The fir forest road was created as a barrier-free trail in 2014. After crossing the Geumgang Bridge from the Woljeongsa parking lot, go to Iljumun along the fir forest path and return after passing through the Liberation Bridge.
Flat Woljeongsa Fir Forest Path
The Woljeongsa parking lot, the starting point, has a disabled parking lot (5) and a disabled toilet (1 for men and women, 1 for women only), and the adjacent tourist information center has one wheelchair and one stroller for rent.
Squirrel on a fir forest path
Overall, it is flat, but the section approaching the Geumgang Bridge and Haebang Bridge needs help from Gafala's assistant.
Disabled parking lot in Woljeongsa parking lot
In front of the women-only toilet, there is a braille guidance as a barrier-free walk. You can also receive voice guidance by pressing the blue button in the lower right corner of the palpation.

Terra rosa Gangneung, a red brick building filled with coffee
Gangneung has another scent that is as thick as sol. It is coffee. Gangneung is the hometown of self-authored coffee. The first coffee museum in Korea is located in Gangneung, and it is also famous for the Anmok Coffee Street, which has more cafes than a coffee factory and sushi restaurant run by Mr. Park Lee-chu, a coffee master named 'Coffee First Generation'.
Inside the Terra Rosa Gangneung
The 'Gangneung Coffee Festival', which started in 2009, marks the ninth time this year. As such, one of the best coffee spots in Gangneung, famous for coffee, is 'Terra Rosa', which is located in a quiet countryside in Gujeong-myeon, Gangneung-si.
Road from entrance to parking lot
Starting in 2002 as a coffee roasting factory that supplies coffee beans to production cafes, hotels, restaurants, etc., 'Terra Rosa Gangneung' became a café as more and more people heard and heard rumors. In July 2017, a cafe built with red bricks opened in a dense chestnut forest next to an old building. It's a beautiful building with some people on purpose.
Terrarosa old cafe
As a new building, there is no inconvenience in moving in a wheelchair. There is a disabled toilet (1) opposite the entrance, and there is a disabled parking (1) closest to the entrance. Tables of different sizes and shapes have good wheelchair access, and the ceiling that extends to the second floor gives a refreshing feeling different from that of a typical cafe. The entrance, the first floor, and the outdoor cafe are all spacious and easily accessible. It is a pity that the second floor cannot be used because there is no elevator.

'Chamsori Museum' is more than anything you can imagine
Next to Gyeongpodae, where you can see the five moons, is a world-renowned museum. These are the 'Chamsori Gramophone Museum', 'Edison Museum', and 'Son Sung-mok Movie, Radio and TV Museum'.
Large speakers in the lounge of the movie museum
Unlike the exterior, all the exhibition halls are full of incredible collectibles.
Charmsori Gramophone Museum 2nd Floor Exhibition Hall
Even in the mainland of the United States, there are many unique inventions in Edison's own world, such as 'Go to the Charmsori Edison Museum in Gangneung, Korea to see Edison's inventions'.
Gyeongpoho View Deck in front of the Charmsori Museum
Founder Son Seong-mok found the result of gathering more than 200 countries over 60 years. What is even more surprising is that many of the exhibits are just a few of the collections. The items are periodically exhibited.
Charmsori Museum from the View Deck
All three museums can be visited with a single admission ticket.
Movie Museum Ramp
There are three parking lots for the disabled, and there are toilets for the disabled on the first floor of the Charmsori Gramophone Museum and the first floor of the Movie Museum. You can see the Charmsori Gramophone Museum and the Movie Museum on all floors with elevators and ramps, and the Edison Museum, which can be crossed from the Charmsori Gramophone Museum, on the first floor.
Speaker telling about speakers
A movie museum about 30 meters away should go outside and re-enter. The middle ramp is a little steep, and there is also a jaw about 10 cm in front of the entrance to the movie museum.
Movie Museum Outside Ramp
In front of the museum, there is a viewing deck where you can see Gyeongpo Lake at a glance. Be careful when crossing a museum parking lot and crossing a pedestrian crossing without a signal. After crossing the pedestrian crossing, there are ramps to the sidewalk and to the view deck.

Pride of Coffee City Gangneung, Bohemian Baked Coffee
Gangneung is full of various attractions and cultures where you can meet coffee as a material, as there is a 'coffee map'. Among them, 'Bohemian Baked Coffee' is a coffee factory and cafe representing Gangneung, along with 'Terra Rosa', where you can taste fresh and fragrant coffee, including the world's best quality specialty coffee.
Bohemian Baked Coffee Appearance
At around 10 am, the cafe is crowded enough to get a ticket, so it is recommended to find it before.
Disabled parking and coffee roastery
There is no step on the door, so it is good to use. However, it is a pity that the second floor cannot be used because there is no elevator.
Bohemian seen from parking lot
There is an outdoor cafe with beautiful white parasols right in front of the first floor. The outdoor cafe is easily accessible via a ramp.
Inside the bohemian cafe
There are two parking lots for the disabled, and there is a toilet for the disabled with a separate space in the women's toilet on the first floor.
Outside scenery seen from the first floor
Gyeongpo sea enjoyed with the five senses! Gangneung Solhyanggi Park Promenade
The sea is an essential part of the Gangneung tour. Among them, Gyeongpo Beach facing Gyeongpo Lake is the beauty of Gangneung Sea. There is a trail in the pine forest where you can experience the deep blue East Sea with your whole body along the wide sandy beach of Gyeongpo Beach.
Solhyanggi Park Sculpture
The coastal walking trail from the central plaza to the peak of the river gate is 2.5km round-trip, and it is easy to move with a spacious wooden deck along the border between the white sand and pine forest.
Solhyanggi Park
All the way to the peak of the river gate, the sea seems to be close to the hand, and the smell of the wind makes you feel refreshed.
Sol Forest Trail
When returning from Sodadae Bridge, you can use the deck path inside the pine forest, so towards the road. This road passes through the middle of the pine forest and gives another joy.
Trail leading through pine forest
Parking can be done using the 7 parking lots for the disabled located in the public free parking lot next to the plaza.
Solhyanggi Park Promenade
Disabled toilets (male and female) are located in the central square. This is the only public toilet.
Gyeongpo Beach Central Plaza
The promenade is generally flat, and you need the assistance of an activity assistant to climb and descend the arched river gate.

Gangneung Solhyang Arboretum, where you meet the true face of 'Solhyanggangneung'
As you travel around Gangneung, you can often see the Geumgang Pine Forest, which stretches out of the red nest.
A forest ecological observation path created between pine forests
However, there are few places where you can stroll through the pine forest full of phytoncide with a wheelchair.
Gangneung Solhyang Arboretum Entrance
'Gangneung Solhyang Arboretum', located at the foot of Chilseong Mountain in Gujeong-myeon, Gangneung-si, is the best place for a walk in the pine forest with a wheelchair.
Bridge to Sol Forest Grass Plaza
Although various themed gardens have been established, the main character of Gangneung Solhyang Arboretum is definitely Geumgang Pine. Geumgang pine trees everywhere in the arboretum meet the true face of 'Solhyanggangneung'.
Waterway cover made for wheelchair wheels not to fall out
A forest ecological observation path made of wooden decks extends between these forests. Therefore, you can enjoy a pleasant walk like taking a shower in the scent.
Watermill next to the valley
There is a parking lot for the disabled (2) in the first parking lot at the entrance of the arboretum, and a toilet for the disabled in front of the parking lot and in the pine forest lawn square. There are also wheelchairs and strollers for rental (two each).
Barong Tree Shelter
Most of the trails have wooden decks, so wheelchair access is easy. However, since it was created in the pine forest along the valley, there are many slopes, so it is necessary to assist the assistant.
Forest Ecology
If you go a little further from the Barong Tree Rest Area, the concrete pavement ends and a gravel road appears. We recommend you return from this section. Because the environment is well preserved, snakes may appear, so it's better not to go outside the road.
